An interesting article from the ABC from a few months ago on the growth, direction and creativity of Australian Craft Gin Distillers.
Australia grows some of the best herbs and botanicals, both native and imported. Also as a nation we don't mind questioning the status quo. Similar to how several decades ago our local wine producers introduced innovation to an industry that prized tradition, maybe we are on the cusp of something similar with Gin and other Craft Spirits.
